Basics of the Improvisation Theater L0 - A 12-hr workshop from Dawar & The Impro Teatro - 2X Rounds
Join us for a fun and engaging workshop where you will learn the essential skills of the improvisation theater and what happens behind the scenes of this art. Discover the joy of spontaneous storytelling, build confidence, and enhance your communication skills in a safe and supportive environment!
Through the course of 12 hours, this workshop will teach you the craft of creating captivating stories and scenes and on the spot, with no preparation and born of the moment, but as characters from within your story, and performing it with seamless collaboration with your peers, stepping outside your comfort zone with confidence. The improvisation theater is a unique art where the creative product is the process of its very creation. You will unleash your creativity, boost your self-esteem, and develop essential skills at a fast track that will in fact impact and benefit your personal and professional life strongly. Through engaging exercises and expert guidance, you will learn how to create compelling characters, build worlds, associate ideas, create relationships, communicate, listen and develop a strong awareness of emotion, movement and theatrical space both real and imaginary, all within a globally recognized curriculum of Impro Theater training and in a one-of-a-kind, integrated experience and space and in a fully immersive experience.
This workshop constitutes a basic block should you wish to continue your journey with the art of the improvisation theater and unscripted theaterical forms generally and to explore its unique instruments and skills, and has merits to personal and professional development including communicative skills, intuitive speed and spontaneity, self-awareness of mind, movement and emotion, self-confidence booting and beating anxiety, and all areas of creative development of self and artistic expression including performance arts and storytelling
12-hr intensive workshop (3X days in R1 and 2X days in R2) from Dawar and The Impro Teatro by the trainers Ahmed Khalifa (Impro Teatro Director) and Hayat Bekhit (Impro Teatro Trainer & Actress)
- R1: 22-23-24 Apr 2025 (Trainer: Khalifa assisted by Hayat) 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. on all days
- R2: 25-26 Apr 2025 (Trainer: Hayat assisted by Khalifa) 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on all days
- Both workshops to be held in Dawar in Downtown Cairo
- 16+ age for applications (parental consent required for lesser than 18 years old)
- This workshop is in Arabic however English speakers may be accomodated

على مدار 12 ساعة، هذه الورشة ستعلمك سرد القصة في اللحظة ومن لا شيء، بل كشخصية من داخلها، وأدائها بسلاسة مع الآخرين، والخروج من منطقة الراحة الخاصة بك بثقة. يعد مسرح الارتجال فنا فريدا من حيث أن المنتج الفني هو بذاته عملية صنعه. سينطلق ابداعك، وستتعزز ثقتك بنفسك وستطور مهارات أساسية وقوية بشكل سريع بل ستفيد حياتك الشخصية والمهنية بشكل كبير، ومن خلال التمارين المنهجية وإرشادات المدربين، ستتعلم كيفية بناء شخصيات مقنعة ، وبناء العوالم ، وإنشاء علاقات وتطوير الحدس والوعي القوي بالإحساس والمساحة، وفي إطار منهج عالمي وذات جودة لمسرح الارتجال (الإمبرو) وفي بيئة آمنة
كما تعد هذه الورشة حجر الأساس لو أن أردت تكملة رحلتك الفنية في مسرح الارتجال والمسارح غير المنصوصة، والتطرق إلى الأدوات والمهارات لهذا الفن بل للحياة كمهارات التواصل وسرعة البديهة والوعي بالعقل والحركة والإحساس، والثقة بالنفس والتغلب على القلق، وشتى مجالات التعبير الفني وخصوصا في الفنون الأدائية والسرد القصصي
ورشة عمل مدتها 12 ساعة على مدار 3X أيام (الدورة الأولى) أو 2X أيام (الدورة الثانية) مقدمة من دوار والإمبرو تياترو - من المدربان أحمد خليفة (مخرج مع الإمبرو تياترو) وحياة بخيت (مدربة مسرح وممثلة مع الإمبرو تياترو)
- الدورة الأولى: أيام 22-23-24 أبريل 2025 (المدرب: أحمد خليفة وبالتعاون مع حياة بخيت) من 5:30م إلى 10م يوميا
- الدورة الثانية: أيام 25-26 أبريل 2025 (المدربة: حياة بخيت وبالتعاون مع أحمد خليفة) من 3م إلى 10م يوميا
